Role details here:
The Finance/Treasurer (Executive Director) is an elected board position that oversees the day-to-day financial activities of the association. The Finance/Treasurer is responsible for:
- Checking emails and processing requests as needed
- Setting up bill payments and e-transfers
- Ensuring payroll is done on time
- Checking credit card transactions and reporting any discrepancies or suspicious activity
- Uploading credit card statements and forwarding them to the Director of Swimming
- Reviewing monthly financial statements and bringing reports to the Board
- Overseeing association pool expenses
- Providing oversight on spending and forecasting revenue vs. expenses
- Overseeing any finance committee budgeting processes
- Presenting the yearly budget to the Board of Directors for approval prior to the AGM
- Presenting the financial position of the association to the membership at the AGM
- Providing data to the Grant Director for grant applications
- Liasing with the contract bookkeeper to ensure that all postings, deposits, and other financial matters are executed
- Acting as the main contact for association banking
